FANTASTIC! These are so vibrant. I hope Chihuly himself gets a glimpse of this. How amazing would it be as an artist to know that your work is inspiring children on this scale.
This is one of my favorite art lessons ever!! I love it -- totally printing out/bookmarking for my art lesson ideas binder in case I ever get back in the classroom.
Is there a possibility to share the process? What is the material used to cover the bottles?? Can't wait to do this!
These are amazing Mr. E! I need to ask, what did you use for the chandelier structure? I am wanting to try this but the tower is intimidating me a little, I'd love to start small first with the chandelier.
@Mallorey I started hot gluing them together...there is no structure holding it together or giving it its shape. The children knew they were not going to be getting their piece back...that it was part of a greater work.I did see someone use a laundry basket for the chandelier's armature, but I didn't want to add any more weight to the piece.
